Congratulations to us! We have just turned 1!

One year ago we held our breath and launched Morning@Lohika! During this first year we have been delighted by its growth and rate of development. We are so happy that you are with us!
So this Saturday, 16th of May, we had two awesome speeches by two awesome speakers from Lohika.

Taras Matyashovskyy

First speaker – Taras Matyashovskyy, our founder, is primary focused on the development of complex distributed systems, R&D activities, currently interested in micro services architecture and big data trends. Agile & lean practitioner, Certified Scrum Master and simply “great product-oriented” developer.

Taras talked about  Apache Spark in terms of Big Data.
His presentation was useful to those who would like to get acquainted with Apache Spark architecture, top features and see some of them in action, e.g. RDD transformations and actions, Spark SQL, etc. Also he covered real life use cases related to one of ours commercial projects and recall roadmap how we’ve integrated Apache Spark into it.

Serhiy Masyutin

In the second part of the event, Serhiy Masyutin, who has more than 14 years of professional experience in most of IT branches, tons of languages and tools made  a presentation on Big Data analysis approaches in Java world.
It was mainly about In-Memory Data Grid, Massively Parallel Processing and Map-Reduce can help. Also he provided  an overview of a real life use case when sensor data is analyzed with HP Vertica, Java and R.

Many thanks to you, guys who came and supported us! Many of you have been with us during this year. It would be impossible to do Morning@Lohika without you. So you all are our inspiration and we promise you we will keep doing this even better!)

It is also crucial for us to receive your feedback on this event. It will certainly make us a bit better and it’s also important to know what you think about us.
